Good Morning Dad,
Thank you for this beautiful Presidents Day, for providing the beauty of the blue sky, chilling fresh air, warmth of the sun to sear our surface and the cascading melodies of your chirping whimsy to add dimension to life.
I pour out my gratitude for your protection of our hearts, within our homes. I lift up the perplexities of others and I ask that their troubles receive your mercy; and that your grace help them be reconciled to your peace. Then, that those relationships make their moments richer and when face to face they realize you’re there. You are not far away and untouchable, how inconceivable that would be! You are here with us; you are in us, all around us. You’ve layered our lives with your goodness, it is here every moment we live our life. Your loving–kindness is unchanging; Eden is not hidden, it is our home. Only those desiring to cast shadows have been led outside your courts for a time. The Cherubim speak truth to guard entry, the conflict comes to steer them away. The sound of joy frightens the unknowing, they mistaken the cheer and throw stones to scare away.
Lead us this day with your goodness; let the blind eyes have a glimpse of your thrown. Allow the deaf ears to hear the celebration, for their frail weak conditions to have a hope and a dream. Be the inspiration to their countenance; be the warm embrace for which they deeply long. Be the answer to their gripping question, be their savior in the midst of their storm.
Be unto all a strong tower, be the light above all that we might truly see. Be the mighty ship upon an angry ocean and the life line which hoists them into the safety of your hull. Be the Sheppard for those lost and running; have the net ready, set before they greatly fall. Speak very clearly; for your words bring us courage, they give wisdom and discernment as they guide us your way.
Help us to not think that we don’t need others; help us to see we create your image and real form. My face is your face and it needs their complexion; without them your features are translucent to eyes. Without their eyes, my sight will be limited; without their lips my mouth is only partly formed. Without their voice, I cannot reach your highest octaves; without their arms my wrap won’t reach around.
Without their legs my height can't see what’s coming; without their energy I cannot make the climb. Without their feet, your precious things won't get delivered; without their hearts beat, your blood will not properly flow. Without their lungs, my breath get exhausted; without their beauty, I’m an unnoticed spec in the sand.
But even right now, I see moments which move me; the times we come together, like a kaleidoscope by your hand. I watch as our form ever-changes with significance; while the winds and the gravity keep us moving, keep us safe. I pray that in your time we all come together. The one piece that is missing is willing to be seen and shine. Not for themselves, but for the crown of Your glory: The Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, our reigning King and your delight. He is in you and together we are in you – not for the least, for the least to realize. I pray that today all these grand things start turning, for the dust and the ashes to start crumbling and divide. For the great walls between us to crack and to scatter; may all life be found in your glory, tightly wrapped. May your jewels be protected from the fall of the mighty; may we feel the ground shaking as the boulders begin to bounce. Instead of fear, may we dance in your daylight, Hosanna is reigning and the force of darkness fell. The angels are swarming to protect while they’re fighting. Be not afraid in the force of His fury, it is for your good that they leave you alone. Do not turn to runaway after, for the journey is a precarious and they need to come back.
Today, look all around you, for you are in the promised land. He is there to work with you; to use you, not out there but right where you stand. Stop chasing tomorrows and reciting past moments. Right now there is a present that you'll miss if you don't look. Look at the face that is longing and been given; for there is your promise - just look deep through the eyes of God. Pray that they see you, for God is surely within them. When they look deep into your face they will find Him, for it will be the Lord that they really see.
This is my hope and I know He is faithful; so today I’m looking deep, being honest and finding peace.
For the love of our Great God~
Kisses,
C
